Job requirements

We are seeking a highly motivated and high-integrity Finance Manager to join our growing accounting firm. The successful candidate will play a key role in managing financial operations, ensuring accurate reporting, and liaising with clients to deliver high-quality accounting and advisory services. This role requires strong technical accounting skills, hands-on experience with Xero accounting software, and a background in practice working with multiple clients.


Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Management & Reporting
    • Oversee day-to-day financial operations for assigned clients.
    • Prepare accurate management reports, financial statements, and analysis.
    • Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and local regulations.
  • Client Liaison & Advisory
    • Act as the primary point of contact for a portfolio of clients.
    • Provide timely financial insights and recommendations to support client decision-making.
    • Build and maintain strong, trust-based client relationships.
  • Accounting & Systems
    • Manage bookkeeping, reconciliations, and reporting within Xero.
    • Implement best practices for process efficiency and data accuracy.
    • Support system improvements and integrations where required.
  • Team & Practice Support
    • Assist in training and supporting junior staff in accounting processes and Xero usage.
    • Collaborate with colleagues to deliver seamless client service.
    • Contribute to firm-wide initiatives for service quality and growth.

Qualifications & Experience
  • Professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACCA, CPA, ACA, or equivalent).
  • Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in an accounting practice, managing multiple client accounts.
  • Proficiency in Xero accounting software (certification is a plus).
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and compliance.
  • Proven experience preparing client-ready reports and presenting financial information clearly.
