Key Responsibilities:

• Algorithm Development: Create and refine algorithms for on-board processing using machine learning, computer vision, and/or AI techniques 
• Model Training and Validation: Train and validate models using relevant data sets 
• Targeting and Deployment: Adapt algorithms for specific processor hardware and firmware environments on the satellite 
• Execution and Performance Evaluation: Execute algorithms during ground testing and in-flight and evaluate their performance 
• Insight Delivery: Ensure successful downlink of insights to ground operators and customers 
• Documentation: Maintain comprehensive technical documentation related to algorithms and models: Create and refine algorithms for on-board processing using machine learning, computer vision, and/or AI techniques 

Job requirements

• Master’s or PhD degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field 
• 3+ years of experience in algorithm development, preferably in the space industry 
• Proficiency in machine learning, computer vision, and/or AI techniques 
• Strong programming skills (Python, C++, or similar); embedded programming experience is preferred 
• Adaptability to a fast-paced startup environment 
• Cross-cultural communication skills to participate in an international team 
• Willingness to relocate to the Arabian Gulf region (remote work during relocation planning may be possible)
